‘A Few Crazy Days Each Year’ is dedicated to all members of SAMZEO (formerly The Family Nikoladze), a Leeds-based group of singers who performed songs from (the former soviet republic of) Georgia between 2006 and 2012.
I was with them in 2009, when we went to Tbilisi and, along with many other singers, dancers and musicians, took part in a short tour of the western part of the country.
5 years on, after hearing some Georgian music in Toronto, I was inspired to write this song and Balcony TV provided an opportunity to perform it. A big thank you to all involved in the process.
Amazing song that bought back so many memories. Thank you.
Great song! Looks good on TV, too. I’ve never seen anyone play guitar in an overcoat and scarf before.
Go Ben, sounding good! Nice to see you on tv and getting your gigs promoted. And nice hat.
Great song! Great hat!
Big hat, no cattle, but I don’t think cattles like heights.
Great song, Ben. A real unusual one for your oeuvre.
I can’t believe I wrote “cattles.”
Good stuff BW
