Likeable characters, original ideas and a well-structured plot comprise Joe Canzano’s second pop-lit novel, Sex Hell.

The bulk of the action takes place on the highway between New Jersey and New Orleans, a fairly original idea in itself. But when you consider that the front-runners in this elongated car chase are a couple trying to extricate themselves from a spell which causes them to continually have sex in another dimension and, in so doing, rejuvenate a haggard witch’s acting career, the uniqueness of the story is amplified, at least from this sporadic reader of fiction’s perspective.

Skilfully written, packed with amusing social observations and entertaining to the last.
